Anti-virus software is essential to operating any of today's communications electronic devices -- computers, smartphones, and tablets.
Any device that you use to access your work information, such as your Office 365 account, must have sufficient anti-virus protection. This includes tablets and smartphones.
If you use a computer at home to log into the DNR network from outside, using your VPN account, then your home computer must have sufficient anti-virus software on it. If the VPN detects that your computer does not have sufficient anti-virus protection, the VPN connection will abort and you will not be able to connect.
So which anti-virus software should you use?
Recommendations range from the fee-based MacAfee and Symantec to free anti-virus software such as Malwarebytes and AVG.
DNR IT can't make one specific recommendation for anti-virus software to use on your personal devices. Even GTA does not make recommendations for specific software. Please feel free to research and choose one that appeals to you.
